2025년 2월 24일 교육부가 발표한 ‘2024년 교육국제화역량 인증 심사 결과’에 따르면, 도내 5개 대학(강원대, 경동대, 강릉원주대, 연세대 미래캠퍼스, 한림대)은 ‘학위과정 인증대학’으로 선정됐다. 인증대학은 외국인 유학생 비자 발급 심사 기준 완화 등의 혜택을 받는다.

반면 '비자정밀심사대학’ 또는 '비자발급제한대학'에는 해외유학생 유치 시 비자 발급이 일부 제한된다.  

교육국제화역량 인증을 받으려면, 대학의 인프라, 학생 입학전형 및 절차, 중도탈락률, 기준 이상의 언어성적 보유율, 유학생 학업지원 등의 매우 다양한 영역에 걸친 심사에 통과해야한다. 인증기간은 1년(3월부터 이듬해 2월까지)이며, 해당년도 10월 중 대학이 신청하고, 이후 2월 중 결과가 발표된다.

★ 따라서, 한림대 학생들은 대학에서 요구하는 행사 및 교육 참여를 적극적으로 임해야 함 ★

According to the '2024 IEQAS(International Education Quality Assurance System)' result released by the Ministry of Education on February 24, 2025, five universities in Gangwon state (Kangwon National University, Kyungdong University, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Yonsei University Mirae Campus, and Hallym University) were selected as the "certified universities". Certified universities receive benefits such as relaxed criteria for issuing visas to foreign students.

On the other hand, “visa-restricted universities” have some restrictions on the issuance of visas to international students.  

To be certified, a university must pass an examination that covers a wide range of areas, such as university's infrastructure, student admissions policy and process, drop-out rate, language proficiency rate, and academic support for international students, etc. The accreditation period is one year (from March through February of the following year). Universities apply in October of the accreditation year and the result is announced in February next year.

★ Therefore, Hallym University students are expected to actively participate in events and trainings(education sessions) required by the university. ★

    ex) Education for Korean Laws (Preventive Education for Crime) will be organized in April and May, 2025.
