Hallym Graduate School of Global Cooperation: Second KOICA-Hallym Master’s Degree Program Graduation Ceremony

Hallym Graduate School of Global Cooperation held the 2nd KOICA-Hallym Master’s Degree Program Graduation Ceremony

Hallym University’s Graduate School of Global Cooperation under the leadership of Dean Yang Kiwoong, held the second KOICA-Hallym Master’s Degree Program Graduation Ceremony in Hallym International Conference Room on Friday 10th December, 2021.


The program, run by the Graduate School of Global Cooperation at Hallym University in cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), started in 2019 and produced its second group of graduates this year. 


The class of 2021 was comprised of 15 students from 11 countries, all of whom are all Civil Servants in their respective countries’. The focus of this KOICA project is to foster leaders in the field of Climate Change Policy.


During the graduation event, Yang Kiwoong, Dean of the Hallym Graduate School of Global Cooperation, Project Manager Professor Kim Seungdo and other participating professors and staff attended the graduation ceremony to celebrate the students’ achievements.


In his congratulatory address, Dean Ki-woong Yang said ‘I hope that these graduates will become a driving force for national development, recognizing the importance of the rapidly changing trend of Climate Change’. 


Asim Samadov, a master’s student from Azerbaijan who gave the group graduation speech said ‘Through KOICA-Hallym Master’s Degree Program, I was able to develop skills and knowledge that can contribute to national development and international cooperation due to my participation in this program and the excellent faculty involved.’ 


Mr Samadov went on to express his gratitude to the Korean Government and Hallym University and vowed ‘after returning to my home country, I will strive for the development and capacity-building as a leader in the field of Climate Change.’
